BILATERAL INTEGRATION & MIDLINE CROSSING
Bilateral integration is the ability to use both sides of the body together in a coordinated manner. Midline crossing refers to the ability to move across the imaginary line that divides the body into left and right halves.
These skills form the foundation for many everyday activities including handwriting, reading, dressing, ball skills and coordinated movement.
This course explores the development of bilateral integration and midline crossing, signs of difficulty and practical intervention strategies that can be implemented at home, school or in therapy.
