Danielle Scrutton

Senior Speech Therapist

Dani is a warm, compassionate, and deeply dedicated Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about helping children find their voice, build meaningful connections, and thrive in their everyday lives. She believes that every child deserves to feel understood, empowered, and celebrated for who they are, and she approaches each therapeutic journey with gentleness, curiosity, and genuine care.

Dani has a special interest in working with children with complex communication needs, literacy development, and feeding therapy. She is especially passionate about supporting children who communicate differently and helping families discover meaningful, functional ways to connect and communicate together. Her therapy approach is relationship-based, child-led, and grounded in creating safe, engaging spaces where children feel confident to learn, explore, and grow.

She has completed additional training in TalkTools, PROMPT, CVI Training, and DIR Floortime®️, and enjoys integrating these approaches into holistic, individualised intervention that honours each child’s unique strengths, sensory profile, and developmental journey.

One of her favourite quotes is:

“Many things we need can wait. The child cannot. Now is the time his bones are formed, his mind developed. To him we cannot say tomorrow, his name is today.”

~ Gabriela Mistra
